AutoPair accepted into MIT & Rice University Entrepreneurship Study

AutoPair, Inc. was formally accepted into the MIT & Rice University Entrepreneurship Success Initiative study. The Entrepreneurship Success Initiative is a new study by researchers at Rice University and MIT which aims to close some of the knowledge gaps around systems, decisions, backgrounds and training that lead to higher chances of startup success. The study will follow a large panel of startups over 2 years in an attempt to identify what factors, decisions, training and background experiences contribute to successful startup outcomes.

Despite many resources dedicated by organizations, investors and policy makers towards helping entrepreneurs, little is known about the factors that truly shape entrepreneurial success and what can be done to increase the probability that an entrepreneur or startup company will be successful.

"This is a great honor to be included in the study. I'm excited to have some of the educational resources from MIT & Rice University"

- Ken Koger
AutoPair Founder & CEO

The study is being conducted by a collaborative effort of researchers from MIT and Rice University. Yael Hochberg is the Ralph S. O'Connor Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Head of the Entrepreneurship Initiative at Rice University, and serves as Academic Director of the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship. Eric Floyd is an Assistant Professor in the Rady School of Management at UCSD. Daniel Fehder is currently a post-doc researcher at Rice University and will join the faculty at USC's Marshall School in 2017. He is an affiliate of the MIT Lab for Innovation Science and Policy. Daniel Lee is a postdoctoral fellow in Entrepreneurship at Rice University's Jones Graduate School of Business.

AutoPair periodically contributes to the study through surveys and meetings to discuss various issues regarding the company.  The study hopes to define the decisions and practices that lead to the success or failure for a startup. In addition to participating in the study, AutoPair has access to the learning resources of MIT & Rice University.
