  • Is there an AutoPair app? +

    We currently do not have an app available. Although the AutoPair app is in our roadmap to be released in the near future.

  • How do I tell my friends about AutoPair? +

    We encourage you to spread the word about AutoPair. In fact, AutoPair will reward you the more people you tell.  Go to our referral rewards section and follow the instructions.

  • What is the AutoPair Guarantee? +

  • How does it work? +

    AutoPair works with the local auto repair shops and new car dealerships to design discount certificates for vehicle owners to use to try out their shops. 

    The repair shops are willing to give you this discount to entice you to try their business.  Once you try out their services, then they want to try and build a long-term, trusting relationship with you to help you service and maintain your vehicle.

  • How do I know that the shop doesn't raise it's rate just because I'm using a discount certificate? +

    All AutoPair merchants are required to publish their shop rates here on AutoPair so that you know what the rate is before you walk in the door to have any service done. One of our missions is to promote transparency between consumers and repair shops.  By requiring AutoPair Merchants to publish their rates we believe this helps to promote the trust between both parties.

  • How does AutoPair save me money? +

    When you purchase a certificate, it's purchased at a discount to its value. (i.e.- a $50 certificate might be purchased for $10) Therefore, you save a total of $40 on your repair.

  • What if there is no repair shops in my area? +

    If there are no shops in your area, please let us know by going to our contact us page. We will contact shops the local shops in your area and get them signed up on the AutoPair site.

  • What is the AutoPair community? +

    The AutoPair community is a social community designed for AutoPair Merchants and industrial professionals to connect with each other.

  • Does AutoPair offer deals on new or used cars? +

    No, we do not offer deals on new or used cars as we are not a new or used car site.

  • How can AutoPair offer these discounts? +

    AutoPair works closely with the repair shop to design certificate offerings that benefit the shops as much as they benefit the vehicle owner.  

    Business owners have to spend capital (money) on an advertising or marketing campaign to get a customer to come into their business.  That's money out of their pocket. And then the business owner has no guarantee that they'll receive one new customer from the expenditure on the advertising campaign. 

    What AutoPair does differently is allow the business to sign up with us without charging them any fees or subscriptions. Then the business is able to get a new customer into their business without it costing them anything to get you there.  The only thing they are required to do is honor the value of the certificate that you purchased. Because we work with them individually to design the certificate offerings, we know that the business will still make a profit on the offering.  Therefore, we have taken all the risk away for the business owner to offer a discount to you to try their shop and services.

    Then AutoPair helps educate the owner on not only how to get a new customer, but then how to turn that new customer into a long-term repeat relationship. The vehicle owner saves money by using the certificate. The shop gets a new customer without paying any fees or subscriptions and still makes a profit. And, AutoPair makes a little for connecting you both together.


  • What if the shop doesn't honor my certificate? +

    All AutoPair Merchants are contractually obligated to honor the certificate. However, if the shop does not honor the certificate, AutoPair will refund 100% of the certificate purchase.

  • Can I use the certificate at any repair facility? +

    No. AutoPair certificates are specifically designed to be used at the facility that is offering the certificate.

  • How do I purchase a certificate? +

    1. Search for a local repair shop or new car dealership in your area.

    2. Review the certificates that they offer and choose one you would like to use.

    3. Add it to your cart

    4. Complete the purchase of the certificate on the AutoPair site.

    5. As soon as your payment is confirmed, the digital certificate will be emailed to you.

    6. Schedule or take your vehicle in to get the service performed.

    7. Let the owner or service manager know that you are using an Autopair certificate.

    8. When the repairs are completed, make sure to show the shop your certificate so that they can verify it.

    9. The shop will deduct the value of the certificate from your bill.

  • How much does a certificate cost? +

    Costs can vary based upon the value of the certificate. Please see the individual certificates for the price.

  • How long does it take to receive a certificate? +

    Certificates are delivered immedaitely to your smart device or to your email upon purchase completion.

  • Can I get a refund on a certificate? +

    Yes, for any unused certificates you can get a full refund, or if for some reason a shop does not honor the certificate, AutoPair guarantees you get your full purchase price returned.

  • Can I print certificates? +

    Yes! When your transaction completes your certificate is sent to your email or smart device and you can print from there.

  • Are certificates the same as a gift card? +

    No, certificates are redeemable at the auto-repair facility, at this point we do not offer gift cards.

  • What are the restrictions on certificates? +

    Every shop will have different restrictions depending on the value on the vertificates and the shop itself. Please refer to the individual certificate for those restrictions.

  • How many certificates can I use at one time? +

    You can purchase more than one certificate at a time but you can only redeem one at a time.


  • Where is AutoPair headquartered? +

    No. AutoPair is a privately held corporation.

  • How do I become an AutoPair Merchant? +

  • Are there fees that I have to pay to AutoPair after a customer uses the certificates? +

    No. We do not charge any fees to the merchant on the transaction.

    Other group discount sites take fees up to 50% of the transaction. When we designed the AutoPair concept and platform we did not want the AutoPair Merchant to pay anything to us on the transaction. That way the merchant makes more money and more profits using AutoPair.

  • Is there a limit to how many certificates I can offer? +

    No, there is no limit to the number of certificates you can offer. However, it is advisable to only offer three or four different types of certificates.


    When you sign up as a merchant partner we will work with you individually to help you design these certificate offers. The quantity and type of certificates offered vary based on your business' needs.


    Designing your certificate offers is one of the most important things you can do as a merchant partner. It's what drives a new customer to your shop. Therefore, we work with you to make sure it is still a profitable transaction.

  • How much does it cost to be a Merchant Partner? +

    To register as a Basic Merchant Partner is free; there are no fees or subscriptions. We do, however, offer a Business subscription, and a Pro subscription, that have more tools and resources for your use. Please see the details of our subscription plans here.

  • Why should I sign up for the newsletter? +

    The newsletter will communicate any specials to you so you can take advantage of the offers. Our merchants also write for our newsletter, so there are pertinent articles for vehicle ownership. 


  • Can I have a certificate sent to my smart device? +

    Yes. All Autopair certificates are sent via email and can be accessed from your smart device. You can show the certificate to the shop on your device and they will redeeem it.

  • What if there are no shops close to me? +

    As we expand AutoPair across the nation, we expect that there will be areas that have not had shops sign up yet. Please use our Contact Us page and let us know what city, state and zip code you are in. That way, we can reach out to the shops in your area and begin to sign them up.

  • Can I search by Zip Code? +

    Yes. AutoPair has an extensive search engine that lets you search by zip code and many other parameters.

  • How do I search for a local repair shop? +

    There are several ways to search for a local shop.

    1. Use the search field at the top of the page.

    2. Use any of the buttons that say "Find A Shop"

  • Why don't I see the certificate in my cart? +

    You probably have not added the certificate to your cart. When you are on an individual certificate page, make sure to click the button "Add to Cart."

  • Why can’t I find a certificate for a certain shop? +

    The shop might not be registered in the AutoPair network. If there is a shop you would like included, please contact us and let us know the shop.
